About Omni: Office Furniture Manufacturer Since 2004

In 2003, Henry Zhang, the owner of Omni, met Glenn Steil, an experienced office furniture professional, during a visit to the United States. They agreed to develop American-style office furniture in China.

Jiangsu Omni Industrial Co., Ltd. was founded in Yangzhou in 2004 to make system-based office furniture that combines American and European styles. In 2005 it launched its first product, the Steel-Wood Panel System, which was adopted by US office furniture distributors. In 2008 it followed with the Tile Panel System, built from stacked steel panels and sold in Europe and the US.

In 2009 Omni acquired more than 200 acres of land in Texas and established OmniMax USA as its North America research and development and customer service center.

Omni has production capacity for about 45 containers of furniture per month. Its range includes 280 products across desks, tables, seating and accessories, protected by 150 global patents. The company has served customers in more than 20 countries since 2004.

Omni's quality management system is certified to ISO 9001 and its environmental management system to ISO 14001. The company states PPAP and C-TPAT compliance with SAP-driven traceability. See the Why Omni page for how these apply to a purchase order.

In practice, that means a catalog built around how offices work today: sit-stand desks, benching for teams, panels for focus, tables that reconfigure, and power wherever people sit. Omni combines plastic, metal, wood, surface finishing, rapid prototyping and machining under one group, and customization is offered on every series.
