What the OEM and ODM program covers

Omni offers four programs, which can be combined in one project:

  • Private label: your brand name and logo on existing Omni series
  • Custom finishes: your frame colors, laminates, veneers and fabrics
  • Bespoke packaging: your cartons, labels and manuals
  • Co-developed products: new designs developed with Omni's engineers and built on its steel, wood and electronics lines

Every series in the catalog is marked "Customization Available".

Start from an existing series or develop a new one

The fastest route is an existing series. AO2 panel systems are described as a value-based OEM-compatible system, and benching, height-adjustable desks, tables, chairs and desktop power modules can take your finishes and branding.

A new design starts with your brief: target market, price level, standards and reference products. Omni's engineers return a concept, drawings and a quotation. Omni holds 150 global patents and combines plastic, metal, wood, surface finishing, rapid prototyping and machining within the group.

How an OEM project runs

  1. Brief and NDA: you share requirements, and Omni signs your NDA before drawings change hands.
  2. Quotation: a sales engineer replies within one business day; the quotation states unit price, tooling cost, MOQ and lead time.
  3. Samples: a sample is built for your approval: 7–15 days for custom finishes on existing models.
  4. Tooling: molds, dies or jigs are made if the product needs them; tooling and the pre-production sample take about 30 days.
  5. Approval: the approved sample and PPAP documents become the production reference.
  6. Production and QC: 13 QC stages under the ISO 9001 system, with SAP-driven traceability.
  7. Loading and shipping: a loading plan is agreed and the container ships FOB Shanghai, Ningbo or Yangzhou, or on EXW, CIF or DDP terms on request.

What we need from you

  • Product type or series, with target quantities per SKU
  • Finish, color and size requirements, with sample or color codes
  • Logo files, label artwork and packaging requirements
  • Destination market and the certificates it needs (for example BIFMA, UL 962A or CE)
  • Target price range and delivery date
  • Reference products or drawings, if you have them

If you only have an idea, send a photo or a competitor model. The sales engineer will help you turn it into a specification.

IP, NDA and tooling

Omni signs your NDA before you share confidential drawings, and exclusive distribution agreements can be discussed for your territory. Tooling is quoted separately from unit prices and credited back against your order volume once the agreed quantity is reached. Tooling you pay for is reserved for your products, with ownership written into the project agreement.

Omni holds 150 global patents. Ask the sales team whether a change you request touches a patented feature. Keep all drawings, samples and approvals in writing, so both sides have the same reference when production starts.

Minimums and lead times

Omni's MOQ starts at 2–5 pieces or sets per model for standard products, so trial orders and LCL shipments are welcome, and unit prices drop in volume tiers. Custom colors and OEM products carry a minimum per color or model that depends on the product; exact terms are stated on the quotation.

Standard products ship 25–30 days from deposit, custom finishes and sizes 35–40 days. New-tooling projects add about 30 days for tooling and pre-production sample approval before mass production starts. Payment is a 30% T/T deposit with the 70% balance before shipment, or L/C at sight.

OEM & ODM questions

Does Omni offer OEM, ODM and private-label office furniture?

Yes. Omni's OEM and ODM program covers private-label products, custom finishes, bespoke packaging and fully co-developed products. The group makes steel, wooden and power-access parts and control systems in its own plants, holds 150 global patents and offers 280 products, so a brand can start from an existing series or develop a new one under NDA. See the OEM and ODM page for the process.

Who pays for tooling, and does Omni sign an NDA?

Yes. Omni signs your NDA before you share drawings, and exclusive distribution agreements can be discussed for your territory. New molds, dies or extrusions are quoted as a separate tooling cost and credited back against your order volume once the agreed quantity is reached. Tooling you pay for is reserved for your products, and its ownership is written into the project agreement.

Can my brand go on the product and the packaging?

Yes. Omni puts your logo on the product, label or nameplate and your branding on cartons and manuals, and can apply your own model names. Its customers include brand businesses, wholesalers and retailers. Send vector artwork, label content and carton requirements with your RFQ, and packaging dimensions and costs are included in the quotation.
