Desk power module certification selector

Pick the destination market, the module type and the features to see which standards and marks to ask a supplier for, which of them Omni can document today with a certificate number, and what to request as model-specific proof. Rules change and a certificate covers only the models it lists, so treat this as a checklist for your RFQ, not legal advice.

Component certified ≠ complete desk certified

  1. A certificate covers the product and models named on it, nothing more.
  2. A listed power module does not make the desk, bench or panel it is mounted on a certified assembly.
  3. Complete furniture and powered systems have their own standards, such as UL 962 (furniture) and UL 1286 (panel systems) in the US.
  4. Ask which of the two a certificate refers to: the component, or the complete furniture with the component installed.
  5. Keep the certificate with the purchase order, and check its validity dates cover your delivery.

What Omni can document today

Certificate numbers and validity dates as published in the certificate table on the company facts page. All of them are for power components, not for complete desks.

Australia / New Zealand: AS/NZS 3760 is in-service inspection and testing (test and tag), not product approval. Whether a fixed module counts as “portable” is decided under the EESS definitions; ask the certifier which class it was assessed to.

Middle East (GCC): One GCC certificate does not complete customs entry; ask your importer which national certificates customs will check.

Japan: DENAN classification of hard-wired furniture wiring was not verified. Wireless chargers may also fall under Japan’s radio rules (not checked here).
